THEODORA
M. MAKRI
ART DIRECTION . VISUAL STORYTELLING . SPATIAL EXPERIENCES
Theodora M. Makri is a multidisciplinary creative director and artist crafting emotionally resonant worlds across photography, film, spatial installation, and 2D composition. Her work explores the symbolic relationship between space, image, and emotion — often through themes of memory, ritual, and transformation.
With a background in architecture, filmmaking, and art direction, Theodora builds layered visual environments that blur the boundary between internal states and external forms. She blends cinematic storytelling with tactile materiality and photographic poetics to create immersive experiences — where light, texture, and surface act as emotional matter.
She holds a BA (Hons) in Architecture from Oxford Brookes University, a Master of Architecture from the Architectural Association in London, and an MA in Filmmaking from the London Film School. She is currently enrolled in a remote postgraduate program in Creative Direction offered by a design school in Barcelona.
Working between Athens and London, Theodora develops concept-driven visuals for screen, space, and print. Her hybrid approach resonates across cultural, editorial, and artistic contexts, with an emphasis on symbolic depth and compositional precision.
